In celebration of the Year of the Sheep, the China Arts Foundation International will host its Second Annual China Arts Foundation International Chinese New Year Gala on Monday, February 23, 2015. The China Arts Foundation International (CAFI) is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that globally supports the promotion of Chinese arts-and-culture through musical performances, cultural events and educational programs.
At this year's gala, CAFI will honor former U.S. Ambassador to China Jon Huntsman; Deputy Head of the General Affairs Office of the People's Bank of China Weihua Ma; Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of the China Philharmonic Orchestra Long Yu; and Chinese Ambassador and Consul General of China, Qiyue Zhang.
CAFI Founder and President Angela Chen will serve as Co-Chairman together with former President of the Asia Society Nicholas Platt. Former Managing Editor of Fortune Andrew Serwer will serve as the evening's Master of Ceremonies and will moderate the press conference. The dinner committee includes Arthur Flasher, Selig D. Sacks, Cindy Morin, Kathy Wu, Sophie Wade, Fred S. Teng, Lan Zhang and Sharon Wu.
