“THE STORY
In late spring, Winkel & Balktick stumbled upon a startling discovery… A vast laboratory complex sitting vacant in South Williamsburg. For more than 150 years, it had been the R&D headquarters of one of the world’s pharmaceutical titans. Now empty, it beckoned them to formulate a daring hypothesis. As the mercury rose, they gathered renegade researchers from across the Five Boroughs. By the dim glow of bunsen burners, they collided hadrons and superpositioned particles. As the petri dishes subcultured and the polymerase chains overreacted, the results started to look revolutionary. On Saturday, September 1st, join Winkel & Balktick for the unveiling of their breakthrough findings. Expect a night of eureka moments, bold experiments and a Nobel-worthy science fair built by King’s County’s creative catalysts.THE BUILDINGIn 1849, cousins Charles Pfizer and Charles Erhart, young entrepreneurs from Germany, opened Charles Pfizer & Company as a fine-chemicals business. THE BUILDING

In 1849, cousins Charles Pfizer and Charles Erhart, young entrepreneurs from Germany, opened Charles Pfizer & Company as a fine-chemicals business. A modest red-brick building in Williamsburg served as its office and laboratory.

As the family business expanded into a global enterprise, its headquarters grew with it. The once humble building morphed into an eight-story complex of laboratories, warehouses and manufacturing facilities. In 2006, Pfizer closed the doors and moved its operations elsewhere.

On Saturday, September 1st, Winkel & Balktick and their engineers of imagination will re-catalyze 50,000 square feet of the first and third floors with Nobel-worthy art and entertainment experiments.

THE MUSIC

The following carefully vetted researchers will be dropping science from a catwalk DJ booth 20 feet above the dancefloor:

DHUNDEE
(Sugarcuts / Haven) making his fourth appearance at Stranded

MISTER SATURDAY NIGHT
AND MISTER SUNDAY NIGHT resident JUSTIN CARTER

MIKE SERVITO
resident at THE BUNKER and GHOSTLY INTERNATIONAL artist

DJ DIRTYFINGER
Black Label Bike Club and Gold Whistle

URSULA1000
Veteran producer, remixer and frequent RUBULAD guest

Meanwhile, in the cabaret room, we will rejoice to electrifying live musical performances by…

ARCHIE PELAGO
COMMANDANTE ZERO
LUMIPHONIC CREATURE CHOIR
MR. TOUGH”
Not to mention over 35 art, performance, interactice, and installation proejects througout the space. This is Massive. Read more and buy tickets HERE.
