I've always like Kendrick's music. Like "it's cool" type of feeling. But the first time I saw him perform, it kinda changed from "it's cool" to "what is this dopeness going on stage right now?" type of feeling. His raw energy hit me and I really wasn't expect it at all. And I love when this happens, when artists have that presence so you can't look away, look at your phone or talk to the person next to you. He just caught all my attention and it felt very good.

Even though I had very much enjoyed that first show, I was still thinking "yeah he's dope" but that was it. After that, I went to many of his shows and the more I saw him perform, the more my interest was flourishing.

Up until the day I had to write two pages about him for a French magazine... While doing my researches, listening to every song more carefully, etc., I realized how his lyrics were meaningful to me and I was putting it into words why, without writing the obvious. It was like a "oh ok! wow" moment. Sine then, it's a wrap.

Kendrick was performing again in NY June 4, for a special Vevo event, and I was looking forward to see him perform again. And you would think it would be quieter, different or just not the same because it was a "corporate event", but hell no! It was classy, rugged and raw, full of energy and simply dope. I really enjoyed it! See for yourself.
