Join us this Wednesday to celebrate the launch of the Young Robots label, and the release of RCMP's self-titled debut EP!
Before the Berlin Wall fell, there was dance music that was free and full of unchained joy. Men and women loved the sweet songs that machines made. They danced and made love to the songs of those machines. That spirit lives on through the music of RCMP.
The two saw a mutual understanding of the visceral power of the musical bond between Cold War Europeans and their robot slaves. They decided to bring the spirit of italo, boogie and Hi-NRG sounds into the modern era.
Their collaboration produced the body of work that is now known as the RCMP EP, which DJ Ayres (The Rub / T&A Records) calls “The best nu-disco record since Holy Ghost!”
