THIRD ANNUAL BUSHWICK FILM FESTIVAL: AUGUST 28 – 30, 2009
Brooklyn, NY [May 11, 2009] – Returning to Brooklyn for a 3rd year, The Bushwick Film Festival (BFF) has earned praise and acclaim from the press and the community at large, and has proven itself to be highly valued staging-ground for emerging independent filmmakers.
“The Bushwick Film Festival gave attendees both a glimpse of independent films and a look at Bushwick’s vibrant artist culture.”
- Sam Goldman, Times Newsweekly.
In 2008, the festival was a huge success! Over 600 people attended the (BFF) summer screenings and events. Festival tickets for screenings at Goodbye Blue Monday, Lumenhouse, and Market Hotel were sold out! Filmmakers such as Lovisa Inserra, Tin Dirdamal , Susan Buice & Arin Crumley, Aldo Tambellini, Joseph Hung, Shih-Ting, and Untucked Films were among the various filmmakers that have helped to shape this festival into a major success and have left viewers wanting more. In addition to films, the festival featured Q&A discussions, art shows, and music performances
The Festival team is working around the clock to ensure that the 2009 Bushwick Film Festival will reach full capacity!!
The Bushwick Film Festival is organized by a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to bringing independent films to Bushwick Brooklyn. Submissions are being accepted through July 31st.
