On May 19th, 2009, American eyewear icon Sunglass Hut will debut Social Sun, an interactive system that is designed to help customers “find their cool.” An intimate kick-off event at the company’s Herald Square, New York flagship store will feature a performance by Grammy Award-winning Jamaican recording artist Sean Paul. Also premiered will be a design collaboration between the retailer and legendary graffiti artist and fashion designer Claw Money.

An in-store, experimental and interactive “photo booth”, Social Sun enables customers to see themselves in several sunglass styles at the same time, making “finding your cool” effortless. It provides users with the ability to email these pictures to friends, share on Facebook, or post on in-store flat screens for immediate feedback and reactions to their selected sunglasses. They also have the option of adding fun tag lines and captions to their image.

Sunglass Hut’s collaboration with Claw Money will feature a limited edition range of summer eyewear styles. “I am thrilled to be collaborating with such an iconic sunglass institution!” says Claw, ”What two brands showcase the spectrum of innovative eyewear more than Claw Money and Sunglass Hut?” After a rare performance by Sean Paul, guests of the launch event will be treated to their own pair of Claw Money exclusives to wear this summer
