In 2005, after more than 20 years LSTD nearly vanished when their rent tripled, according to The Villager, who reported, "It’s a shame," said Leslie Herson, the store’s owner and founder. All I can say is that I had my sweet 16 across from LSTD, and this was my dream store. Totally going to miss this place.
