RANT: Brooklyn Art Collective scores 1 for the team

In the back of a lil space called Alpha Beta (the usual Berlin influenced Graff/gallery concept store was where the Brooklyn Art Collective held their annual event...ok now you have the main idea, lets get to the fun....
First of all the event on the flyer said it was Free until 9, but as I arrived at 8:15 (note the vent started at 7) I was told at the door that it was $7 because the bands decided to go on earlier. Ok, I really was not prepared to shell out 7 just to be there for a little bit. But as awesome as BAC is, Ian, their key player, ran up to me, hugged me, and greeted me to comp admission and total awesomeness. Extra points for host skills. Inside there was not a person I have seen before. Where did all these new Balenciaga bag wearing stroller pushing people come from? I was standing viewing a photo that Ian created and I woman walks over, points at a painting near by, and a sold sticker was placed next to it. I mean seconds after seconds art works were being sold. I could only attend for a bit, so I went and grabbed a beer (which was $3, and not free anymore) and stayed to her the first band play (which personally wasn't my cup of tea), but over all BAC did a great job. As for a gallery show, the business aspect, and for organization this event was what the energy of Brooklyn should be. Sweet and Simple.
