Santos is very proud to present South Bronx's art-funk-punk pioneers ESG-- these ladies still tear up the stage like none other!

ESG helped to birth the driving, art-funk sound that has become a hipster-party staple and their reach has crossed multiple genres and borders. Sharing stages with legendary bands like The Clash, Gang of Four and PiL (as well as playing the opening night of Tony Wilson's Hacienda nightclub and the closing night of Larry Levan's Paradise Garage... like what?) just tips ESG's iceberg of music street cred. A plethora of contemporary artists, including Liars, TLC, Wu-Tang Clan and Beastie Boys, have sampled their tracks, prompting them the title to their 1992 12-inch single "Sample Credits Don't Pay Our Bills." Your DJ for the evening will be the awesome Justine D (Motherfucker, Studio B), who is coming out of a self-imposed DJ "retirement" for this special, rare gig!
